What is the highest degree or level of school you have completed? Bachelor’s degree (for example: BA. BS)
Please describe your experience in the Crypto/Blockchain space, if any? I am early investor in Bitcoin, Litecoin, NEM, Ripple. I have company of 100+ people. We work on hosting / cloud / cluster type of projects. Right now we also work on 3 different blockchain projects for our clients and one project for our self.
Are you an individual or a group? Group

For which networks Have you ever operated a node? Bitcoin (BTC, BCH, etc), Ethereum (ETH, ETC, etc), PIVX ZCOIN
What kind of improvements would you like to see in Elixxir nodes vs. previous the previous nodes you have supported? Good documentation (this is super important), easy installation, human support inside few hours, stability of software it self. To be open for feedback. (Like what hardware type works better, network setup etc).
What are potential setbacks preventing you from operating an Elixxir node? If project is not transparent enough. If project seems like a scam or to hurt people. If software / code is really bad (read shit).
What is a reasonable maximum connection speed on which you could operate a BetaNet node in your geographic region? (Where 0 = 10 Megabits/second, and 100 = 10 Gigabits/second) 50
What is a reasonable uptime estimate you can provide for your BetaNet node? (As a percentage) 100
Please estimate the cost of electricity in the geographic area where your BetaNet node will be running. . $40-ish per month (I have my own servers and infrastructure. We operate more then 1000+ servers right now).
On a monthly basis, how much time can you publicly commit to dedicating toward governance if you were selected as a BetaNet node operator? (Where 0 = 1 hour/month, and 100 = 20 hours/month) 60
If you were selected to run a BetaNet node, would it run on your own hardware or be deployed to cloud-based servers? Hardware
In what type of environment would this server be located? Datacenter
Do you have past experience deploying hardware servers in a datacenter? Yes (please describe)
Do you already own sufficient hardware to meet the published Elixxir BetaNet node specifications? Yes (Please list specs)
Yes (Please list specs) Dual - Quad servers with 128-512 GB of memory with SSD drives in raid or NVMe drives setup for super fast IO operations. All servers have power failover, backups, firewalls in place. We would need to know more about system requirements for Elixxir first.
Do you have hardware you would like to use but does not meet the stated BetaNet node specs? If so, please provide specs on that hardware below: Configuration to start with 2 x Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2680 v2 - total 20 cores (no HT included) 128 GB RAM 8 x 16GB 6 x Intel ENTERPRISE SSD - RAID 10 DUAL PORT 10GBE SFP MEZZANINE CARD LSI ARRAY CONTROLLER DUAL 1400 W/P/S Again, we would need more information about system requirements so we can provide hardware options. (We have many type of hardware on stock, so there is many different options to go with).
Do you have past experience deploying servers to cloud-based services? Yes (please specify)
Yes (please specify) We managed and run systems for clients on Amazon and Azure (everything, from simple websites to complex setups).
Why do you want to be a node? Anything that helps forward to make blockchain mainstream is good for us. If Elixxir becomes success we will have early know how to setup and provide service to others. It's a win-win. Any profit down the road is extra!
How did you originally hear about Elixxir? Word of Mouth
Which current Elixxir communities are you a member of? Telegram, Reddit
Are you an active member of those communities? No
What specifically, interests you about the Elixxir platform?
Outside of Elixxir communities, are you an active participant in other node or developer community groups? If so, which ones? We run many nods for Bitcoin, Ethereum nodes and few others. We are not public face of any project.
Have you ever attended a blockchain conference? If so, which one(s)? Few - local in Europ. (To many to name all of them!)
As part of growing the Elixxir community, are you willing to create content as part of operating an Elixxir BetaNet node? Examples would be node setup & on-boarding review vlog post, bi-weekly twitter update, medium review of on-going node operational process, etc. Yes (how much content on a monthly basis?)
If yes, how much content on a monthly basis? We can provide tutorials how to install / optimize / easy to use once we learn our selfs.
What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? No easy questions? :) [I] have hard time to choose sides. I seen Internet before Google and Facebook and picking sides is usual bad. I am more "Let market make decision" and go with that. Bitcoin is for sure future, but I also see Ripple working very well as well. I also like few other projects like Vechain, Litecoin. The projects that I really DONT like are EOS / NEO (tech wise they are really bad).
As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the Elixxir platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. If Elixxir platform can provide fast private messaging, private payments while in same time provide solid business logic for dApp's and contract - it would be great blockchain that can gain real world users as well market share.
Privacy by Default is a goal of the Elixxir Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? In short, yes. Privacy is huge problem and it should be very critical part of any blockchain project and not just Elixxir. I also hope we can find a way that we can have privacy but in same time reduce bad actors of using the tech for bad reasons.

If anyone have specific questions regarding my application, please ask away  Thank you!

How’s the node running? Can this network accommodate a stable coin?
