| Please describe your experience in the Crypto/Blockchain space, if any? | I am investing in crypto since 2016. First more passive, since 2017 more active (i.e. near full-time). I've developed my own ICO and fundamental analysis spreadsheets. More info on them below: "I've developed my own fundamental analysis spreadsheet in which the best tokens (according to ratings from several rating agencies) get compared on their fundamentals. There are currently more than 50 (very diverse) metrics included in the spreadsheet and this number is growing every day. The data is coming from trustworthy industry sources, such as coinmarketcap, cryptocompare, coingecko, coinmetrics, Messari and Github to name a few. How it works is as following. You filter certain cryptocurrencies out based on metrics that reflect either quality, over- or undervaluation, red flags or other things. The remaining cryptocurrencies are getting ranked on a 0-5 scale for each metric for which there is data available for those cryptocurrencies. Each metric has it's own weight on a 0-1 scale based on it's short or long term effect on price, either direct or indirect. A formula then calculates a weighted average of the ranks of each cryptocurrency, which leads to a final ranking (in between 0 and 5 again) or in other words an ultimate list of the best cryptocurrencies based on their fundamentals according to me. If you want to be more on the safe side, an average of the (weighted) average of the rating agencies and my average can be taken, which leads to another final ranking or in other words an ultimate list of cryptocurrencies based on their fundamentals according to me AND others. I also developed my own ICO spreadsheet in which I compared how well several analysts' ratings predicted future ROI, both in the short term (peak ROI during first 30 days, for flips) and medium to long term. There were several analysts that clearly stood out. Based on the steepness of their line (ROI on the y-axis and ratings on the x-axis) and their r^2 value (the closer to the line, the less variance and thus risk), I used a similar formula as above (i.e. using weights and such) to calculate the expected future returns of upcoming ICOs based on the current performance of past ICOs rated by several analysts." |
