| Why do you want to be a node? | I attended a talk by David Chaum at a crypto con in San Francisco in January. I was intrigued by how Elixxir was different from other cryptocurrencies and I would like to be involved in this effort. |

The best network is the right one for the job. |
| As best as you can given currently available information, please describe the value proposition of the Elixxir platform and how it differs from other current blockchain solutions. | The value proposition is in novel hash-based messaging and currency system vs public key, giving it speed. The mixer network also is novel, its anonymity is a huge draw. Finally, a fast anonymous crypto currency that ISN'T essentially a proof of work fork of bitcoin is a huge advantage. |
| Privacy by Default is a goal of the Elixxir Platform. In your opinion, why is Privacy by Default critical for the future of the internet? | Privacy and freedom are necessary for each other, in my opinion. An erosion of privacy would eventually mean an erosion of the freedom that give the Internet its disruptive power. The same principles apply to currency. Cash is anonymous, and an anonymous mass-adopted cryptocurrency would return to that. Hopefully Elixxir fits the bill. |
