| What is the difference between decentralized networks and distributed networks, and where on the decentralization spectrum do you sit? | Distributed networks share data between nodes but the decision making is still centralized as opposed to a decentralized network where consensus is what matters. I believe there are use cases for both types of networks. By design the most robust networks are decentralized, and that's where I sit on a personal level. However, when dealing with government and traditional finance they tend to like more centralization.... Which in some cases I can fully understand. So it depends on the situation. |
