In keeping with the timeline we laid out in January, today we are publishing an initial selection of node applications for the Elixxir BetaNet, for public review and feedback. This is “Step 5” of the selection process.
This is not an authoritative list
This list is a “rough draft” of applicants we believe are strong candidates to run nodes on the BetaNet, although applications on this list are not guaranteed a slot in the BetaNet; Elixxir will announce the final list on June 21st. And some node applications not on this list will likely be added to the final list.
How should the Elixxir community respond to this list?
We want your feedback! Review this initial selection list, and post your comments and suggestions. If a worthy application is missing from the list, make your voice heard in the Forum to bring it to the community’s attention.
What’s next?
The Elixxir team will continue to closely monitor your feedback in the Node Forum up to the announcement of the final list of BetaNet nodes on June 21st. And big thanks to everyone who has already offered their time and attention.

Same here. I don’t like to self-promote my application, so the only thing that I’ll add without a direct question is that I’m also involved with one of the oldest crypto exchanges. It’s not so relevant for the betanet selection process, but it might be useful later.

it would be a great priviledge for me to take part, I got genuinely excited about elixxir after reading in… we need elixxir to fix fundamental problems of todays digital communication…im sick and tired of getting targeted advertisement on things I had discussed with my brother over “end to end encrypted” messaging app… I dont have the opportunity to say this often, but what we have here is a thing that can make the world a better place!!! im all in, building and sending a new server to my hosting before the betanet starts… cheers @everyone! have a great one!
Proud and very happy to be shortlisted. I hope to go as far as I can with the Elixxir team and with all of us who can collaborate and be part of such an important project.
How were the geographic bins delineated? Having one for just Western USA and Canada, whilst another covers the whole of Africa + Western Europe seems like it could be imbalanced.
